I taught my first English class in 1987 for French teenagers who had travelled to London for a two week cultural exchange. I loved every second of that job! As well as the UK, I have also taught in Sweden, Latin America and Asia. I have had students of all ages over the years, from young children to university postgraduate students. In addition to being a fully qualified English language teacher with CELTA/DELTA certificates, I am also a fully licensed teacher in the UK where I majored in social sciences as an undergraduate and have a PGCE for teaching 11-19 year olds and a masters degree.
Away from classrooms I like caring for cats and I have rather a lot as you will eventually find out through this blog! I also enjoy scuba diving and hold an advanced level certificate in this highly addictive fun sport. I have loved travelling over the years ever since getting bitten by the ‘travel bug’ when I was seventeen and went to Italy alone to start working for an art company, happy days! Since then I have lived and worked in many countries around the world learning tons about their cultures, customs, peoples and histories.
